Vodafone offers 10GB data for the price of 1 GB for 3 months

Telecom network operator Vodafone India today announced 10 GB of data for the price of 1 GB for up to 3 months.

The offer is available to mobile phone users with a 4G handset. The strategy of Vodafone India to attract new and existing mobile Internet users to its 4G network.

The new offer follows free services offered by Reliance Jio. Reliance Jio, the pan India 4G operator, is offering free voice, data and roaming till 31 December.

In Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata, Vodafone mobile users will get 9GB 4G data if the subs recharges with 1GB or above Pack (usage on 4G network only).

In Uttar Pradesh (West), Uttar Pradesh(East), Haryana, Karnataka, Gujarat, West Bengal ,Kerala , Tamil Nadu , Maharashtra & Goa, Assam, North East states and Rajasthan, Vodafone will get 9GB 3G of data if the subs recharges with 1GB or above Pack only in night from 12 AM till 6 am (usage on 4G handset only).

Vodafone  said new 4G smartphone means a 4G smartphone that was not used on the Vodafone network in the last six months.

The new Vodafone data scheme is applicable with packs of 1 GB or above (Rs 250 and above) with a minimum 28 days validity. Vodafone users cannot combine multiple offers to receive the scheme.

Vodafone is not promising 100 percent 4G data, which offers superior connectivity, with this offer because Vodafone does not have pan-India 4G presence. Vodafone India’s special data offer will be on a combination of 3G and 4G data networks.

“A customer connecting with a new 4G handset can now enjoy 10GB data at the cost of just 1 GB for up to 3 months. This is being offered in circles where Vodafone offers its own 3G/4G service and can be availed by both prepaid and postpaid customers till December 31, 2016,” said Vodafone India in a statement.

Vodafone offers free subscription to TV, Movies & Music on Vodafone Play till December 31, 2016. Vodafone Play has 100+ Live TV channels, over 18,000 movies and TV show titles and a range of all genres of music, in partnership with Hungama Play and HOOQ.

The free data provided on these Internet packs will make the Internet more affordable for customers who use mobile internet in a limited way and encourage first time users to come online.
