Telecom network operator Idea Cellular today said its 4G coverage has reached 9 districts in North East.
Idea Cellular is offering its 4G services in major towns of Agartala, Aizawl, Dimapur, Imphal and Kohima, covering over 1.7 million population.
Mobile customers in Tura, Senapati and Mokokchung will have their first 4G experience on the Idea Cellular network as it has become the first telecom operator to launch 4G services in these towns.
In the North East market, Idea Cellular has made investment in securing spectrum, telecom network infrastructure and optical fiber in tough terrain.
Idea Cellular said it offers 2G services on 1800 MHz platform in over 500 towns and villages, 3G services on intra circle roaming basis (ICR) and has now introduced its high speed 4G LTE services in the region.
How Idea promotes 4G network among customers
Idea Cellular is offering free 4G SIM card upgrade to all customers at its showrooms and leading retail outlets across 1,381 towns in 10 telecom circles. Idea Cellular’s customers in key non-4G towns can also enjoy Idea’s 4G services while roaming in 1,381 towns by upgrading to 4G SIM cards.
Idea Cellular is offering 4G data package on trial basis for Rs 46.
Idea Cellular is offering 1GB of 4G data free of cost for up to 5 days as part of promotion basis.
Idea Cellular 4G plans
Idea Cellular is offering unlimited Idea to Idea local calls and 3GB of data under the Ultimate 999 Postpaid plan and Ultimate 1098 Prepaid plan.
Under the Ultimate 1499 Postpaid and Ultimate 1749 Prepaid plan, customers will get unlimited local voice calls and 5 GB of data.
Idea Cellular is offering unlimited national, local and roaming voice calls with 15 GB of data under the Ultimate 2999 Postpaid plan and Ultimate 3249 Prepaid plan.
Currently, there are over 8.9 million 4G devices across 10 circles on Idea’s network. Intex, Lava, Lenovo, Xiaomi and One Plus offer bundled 4G data plans on smartphones.
Idea Cellular has also launched Idea branded 4G devices — 4G Dongles, 4G Mi-Fi that connects 10 users and Home Wi-Fi that connects 32 users.
