Jio extends free 4G voice and data offer till March 31, 2017

Reliance Jio has extended the free 4G voice and data offer till March 31, 2017 from the current December 31, 2016.

All Jio subscribers will get free services including Jio’s data, voice, video and Jio applications and content till 31 March 2017.

The free benefits will be available to all subscribers signing up for Jio services up to 3 March 2017. The existing Jio users will enjoy the unlimited benefits up to 31 December 2016 and will be getting additional benefits till March 2017.

The company said 80 percent of Jio users use up to 1 GB of data daily, while balance 20 percent use disproportionately more data. Jio has limited the high-speed-data quantity to 1 GB per day per user and user will get only 128 Kbps after using 1 GB per day. Earlier, the limit was 4 GB.

Jio will be offering attractive tariff options for subscribers wishing to consume additional data beyond 1 GB per day at regular speed as part of the latest offer.

Jio Money

JioMoney is rapidly expanding its reach to millions of touch points where Aadhar based micro-ATMs will be deployed.

Jio also announced the launch of the Jio Money Merchant Solution. This solution provides access to Jio’s services, including digital money. This will enable digital transactions of all types, whether they be at Mandis, small shops, restaurants, Railway ticket counters, for Bus and mass transit and even for person-to-person money transfers.

Jio achieved 50 million 4G users in less than 3 months.
