Vodafone offers 2GB of free 3G data for 4G SIM users in Punjab

Vodafone LTE networkVodafone India, which has lost mobile data subscribers due to the entry of Reliance Jio, announced 4G SIMs in Punjab with 2GB of free 3G data on 4G enabled smartphones.

The offer is applicable to all existing Vodafone customers who have a 4G enabled smartphone and opt for a 4G ready SIM. Vodafone is providing 4G SIMs at all Vodafone Stores, Vodafone Mini Stores and 6,000 multi brand outlets located across the telecom circle. Vodafone will launch 4G services on 1800 MHz spectrum band in select towns of Punjab in the initial phase.

Reliance Jio is likely to add nearly 50 million 4G subscribers for its Welcome Offer announced on 5 September. The free offer — voice, data and roaming services — till 31 December 2016 has negatively all telecom network operators including Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular and Vodafone India.

Pre-paid customers can enjoy the one time offer of 2GB 3G data for free, for a period of ten days while post-paid customers can avail the benefit for one bill cycle. Customers will need to use their 4G ready SIM on a 4G enabled handset.

Vodafone will add an additional 2GB of free 3G data to the customers data balance within 48 hours of the SIM exchange.
