Laxman Badiga joins Anthelio Healthcare Solutions

Anthelio, the independent provider of comprehensive
healthcare information technology (IT) services and business process solutions
for hospitals and other healthcare providers, announced that Laxman K. Badiga
has joined the company as chief operating officer.

Most recently, Badiga served as the chief information
officer at Wipro Technologies where he managed a wide array of critical
operations, facilities creation and management, supply chain management,
procurement, Information Systems and IT infrastructure, travel and mobility and
government relations.

While at Wipro for nearly 30 years, Badiga was
responsible for initiating a multitude of services including software services
in US and Europe, large account management, the creation and management of the
first vertical services organization, as well as software product development.

Badiga also participated in the significant growth of the
organization from a startup division at its earliest days of formation to a
120,000 people strong global leader in the IT & Business Process
Outsourcing industry with over $5B+ annual revenue.

Laxman Badiga’s tremendous experience and capabilities
in applying global technology initiatives will be a tremendous asset to
Anthelio as we seek to bend the cost curve for hospitals and other healthcare
related providers. I am delighted to welcome him to our team,” said Richard S.
Garnick, chairman and CEO of Anthelio Healthcare Solutions
.

As CIO, Badiga launched significant process initiatives,
such as launching systems to enable growth and scalability, creating virtual
infrastructure, driving virtual global collaboration, automating software
delivery for consistency and scalability and implementing security and business
intelligence.

Badiga was also responsible for creating 12 million
square feet of Green facilities in the SEZ and handled procurement with a
budget of $2 billion annually.

Prior to taking over as CIO, Badiga had the functional
role of handling global resourcing and productivity office, including training,
where he created a well-oiled machine for improving the technical and soft
skills of engineers.

During his tenure at Wipro, Badiga initiated the first
successful verticalization of the company by launching retail and utilities
businesses groups, which today are two of the company’s largest verticals. As
far back as 1988 when Wipro Systems moved to services, he championed the
application portfolio and generated the first sales in the U.S.

Badiga joined Wipro in 1981 in its fledgling Computer
Division in the R&D department. Prior to his time at Wipro, he worked at
Tata Motors and served as an Executive Council Member of Nasscom. Badiga also
sits on an IT panel of multiple state governments in India and is on the IT
panel for the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII).
