CA Technologies to strengthen India biz via new version of Infrastructure Management solution
The new version of CA Infrastructure Management, which contributes to more than half of CA Technologies’ India revenue, will be targeted at both telecom services providers and enterprises in the country.
Globally, 9 out of 10 large telecom operators use CA Infrastructure Management for ensuing superior and differentiated customer experience. For Indian telecom service providers, customer experience is a key focus area. It helps in arresting customer churn. In a 3G and 4G environment, improving customer experience will become vital for telecoms.
It is not known whether any Indian telecom service provider is using CA’s IM solutions at present.
CA Technologies feels that Indian telecom operators and enterprises will tap the new version of IM that promises to resolve service issues by 25x faster at around less than 50 percent of total cost. Since the new IM, which is available in India now, offers both speed and lower TCO, SPs and enterprise will bet on CA’s IM.
By integrating elements of CA Technologies Service Assurance portfolio, CA IM translates volumes of disparate performance data into actionable insight delivered in unified, user-specific views that help enterprise and service provider customers cost effectively improve service quality, predictability and efficiency.

Recently, IDC has named CA Technologies as the market share leader in the global network management software and appliance market. IDC expects the worldwide revenue for the network management software and appliance market to grow at a CAGR of 7.5 percent to $4 billion from 2012 to 2017. CA Technologies owned 14.1 percent of the market in 2010 and 13.1 percent in the first half of 2011.
