Meru Networks expands senior leadership team

Meru Networks
announced the addition of three marketing executives to the senior leadership
team.

They include Bob
Schiff, vice president of market development, Margie Kriebel, senior director
of corporate marketing and communications and Patrick Crane, director of market
research and business intelligence.

The hires
mark the latest in a series of sales and marketing leadership team additions
made to support the company’s growth as thousands of enterprises of all sizes
make the move to Meru.

Schiff will
focus on driving new business for Meru by spearheading its go-to-market plan
for the enterprise. Schiff will draw on extensive technology and networking
experience gained as vice president and general manager of the enterprise
business unit at Foundry Networks and Brocade Communications.

Schiff led
the development and marketing for an array of enterprise product offerings
including Ethernet switches, application delivery controllers, network
management and wireless network products.

Kriebel will
expand Meru’s brand recognition and awareness through strategic market and
communications initiatives. A recognized expert, she joins Meru from Omni-ID
where she served as vice president of global marketing.

Crane will
develop and manage all key market research initiatives and analyze general
business and market trends for Meru’s products. Crane draws on more than 25
years of experience in marketing with deep expertise in competitive analysis,
new product development, customer segmentation, brand and customer satisfaction
research, and market share modeling.

He previously
led global consumer and business-to-business strategic research for Eastman
Kodak.

“These
industry veterans have the proven experience to help Meru lead the
transformation to an all-wireless world,” said Ihab Abu-Hakima, president
and chief executive officer of Meru Networks.

Meru Networks
recently announced
that it transforms on-campus wireless connectivity with the industry’s only
wireless solution for network-in-control Wi-Fi access replacing unscalable
client-in-control network access approaches.

Meru has
achieved record growth across the primary, secondary and higher education
markets as educational institutions make the move to Meru to support their
strategic mobile learning initiatives and address the rigorous density, device
diversity and mobility demands of today’s campus environments.
