Microsoft opens new global delivery centre in Bangalore

Microsoft announced
the expansion of its global consulting and enterprise services operations out
of India by opening its Global Delivery centre in Bangalore.

The Bangalore team
will, in addition to the team in Hyderabad, support Microsoft Services in
powering business-critical and mission-critical applications for world’s
largest corporations in over 65 countries.

Microsoft’s Global
Delivery has had a presence in India since 2005, when the first team began its
operations in Hyderabad.

Kristin Johnsen,
general Manager, Microsoft Consulting Services Business and Amit Sircar,
general manager, Microsoft Services Global Delivery, were present for the
inauguration of the new centre.

Microsoft Services
brings the deepest expertise on Microsoft technologies to help customers plan,
deploy and run their IT landscapes. It was with this in mind that Microsoft
invested in the centre at Hyderabad six years ago, and today, with a clear idea
of growing our presence in India, we are happy to be in Bangalore,
Kristin added.

Very simply, we
deploy future-ready Microsoft solutions and help businesses realize their full
potential through the productive use of Microsoft software and services. In six
short years, Global Delivery (Hyderabad) has been assessed at SEI CMMI Level 5,
and we hope to maintain and improve this reputation for excellence with a group
of highly motivated people in Bangalore,
Amit Sircar added.

Microsoft Services
Global Delivery has a highly mature delivery process for global deployments.
Teams
here work on leading edge Microsoft products and technologies including Office
365, Windows 7 deployment, Azure and Data Center Services (DCS), among others.
