STMicroelectronics Hosts IEEE lectures
Telecom Lead India: STMicroelectronics India, a provider
of semiconductors and MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) for consumer and
portable applications, is going to host the Lecture Colloquia of the
IEEE Solid State Circuits Society (IEEE-SSCS), Delhi Chapter, at Greater Noida,
India, on July 23-24 2012.
At the event, professors and industry veterans will
present lectures on topics of contemporary interest.
The lectures will be aimed that providing opportunity to
the semiconductor fraternity in the National Capital Region (NCR) of India to
participate in the deep technical sessions.
Semiconductor industry veteran and SSCS President, Rakesh
Kumar will lead the IEEE SSCS delegation.
The newly formed SSCS Delhi Chapter is a key part of our
global outreach efforts. I would like to express my sincere thanks to the
organizers and to STMicroelectronics for hosting this event,” said Rakesh
Kumar will also present an overview on Solid State
Circuits and Systems and the Semiconductor Industry Trends, Challenges and
Opportunities on the first day of the event.
The event features lectures by Russel Jacob Baker of
Boise State University on Analog Design in Nanometer CMOS,” Analog and Mixed
Signal Circuit Design for Communication Systems using the K-Delta-1-Sigma
Modulator” and Chip Design using Free Layout Tools.”
Alvin Loke and Mohamad Sawan will also speak on the
topics of 2D to 3D MOS Technology Evolution” and Wireless
Brain-Machine Biosensing,” respectively.
It is a great privilege for STMicroelectronics India to
host the first-ever lecture series of the Delhi Chapter of the IEEE Solid State
Circuits Society,” said Vivek Sharma, regional vice president, Greater
