Amdocs announces strategic growth plans

Amdocs, a provider of customer experience systems, announced the launch of two
new solutions that enable service providers to cost-effectively enter
the fast-growing connected devices market. The foray into connected home space
is to look at business growth for the company.

Amdocs’ M2M and Connected Home solutions enable service
providers to create new revenue streams, provide a unified customer experience
and allow them to compete with over-the-top providers, all of which helps them
increase average revenue per user (ARPU).

Amdocs M2M solution addresses service providers’ concerns of
margin erosions from related customer support costs by transferring common
operational aspects to M2M partners, with self-management tools for ordering,
provisioning and trouble ticketing.

The company’s second launch Connected Home solution is a
cloud-based solution that enables service providers to rapidly launch
pre-packaged home and business services such as remote security, energy, health
and multimedia.

Amdocs is currently offering its solutions to telecom
operators. The company already offers various commerce solutions, which
includes Convergent Billing solution, Digital Payment solution and Mobile
payment solution.

While aiming at increasing growth, the company may partner
with other companies by means of acquisitions and mergers. Last year, Amdocs had acquired Bridgewater Systems Corporation, a
publicly held provider of policy management and network control solutions.

The
acquisition further expanded Amdocs’ Customer Experience Systems (CES)
portfolio, allowing service providers to implement new value-based data
monetization strategies to capitalize on the data explosion.
