Microsoft launches dual SIM Lumia 630 Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone for Rs 11,500

Microsoft Devices today announced the launch of Lumia 630 Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone for Rs 10,500, while its dual SIM version will cost you Rs 11,500 in India.

Lumia 630 with the latest Windows Phone OS will be the first ever dual SIM Lumia smartphone from Microsoft.

This is also the first device to be launched by Microsoft in India after the completion of the $7.2 billion acquisition of Nokia devices.

Lumia 630 specifications include ClearBlack 4.5” FWVGA display, ClearBlack LCD, Gorilla 3, Windows Phone 8.1 OS, 1830mAh battery, 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 5MP AF camera, 512 MB RAM memory, 8GB eMMC with micro SD card support for 128GB storage.

P Balaji, managing director, Nokia India, a subsidiary of Microsoft Mobiles, said; “The Lumia 630 dual SIM is the best smartphone in its price range. It builds on the success of Lumia 520 and 525 and will consolidate our position in the fast growing affordable smartphone segment further.”

The latest smartphone features social apps like WhatsApp, WeChat and Instagram.

Microsoft said the Lumia 630 showcases a new matte polycarbonate design with changeable shells available in bold new colors bright orange, bright green and bright yellow, in addition to matte black and white.

The company is offering several freebies to attract Indian mobile customers. The new Lumia 630 will come with video app Box TV offering sitcoms, Hollywood, and Bollywood content, free of cost for 2 months, free eBooks worth Rs 2000 on Flipkart, six free games by Gamesloft and the NexGTv app for cricket fans.

Coloud Pop headgear will be available at a 50 percent discount.

Vodafone subscribers can enjoy 1GB of 3G data per month for 2 months on the Lumia 630.
