Fujitsu to unveil new smartphone at MWC 2012

By Telecom Lead Team: Fujitsu, a provider of business,
information technology, and communications solutions, will demonstrate its new
ultra-high-spec smartphone at Mobile World Congress 2012.

The new smartphone is powered with a quad-core (NVIDIA
Tegra 3 (Maximum 1.5Ghz Quad Core + Companion Core(1)
+ 12GPU)CPU and offers high-bandwidth to download videos and games-was designed
in response to the spread of LTE, WiMAX, and other high-speed communications
networks.

The water and dust resistant smartphone has a screen size
of 4.6 inches and comes with a powerful 13.1 megapixels camera. It comes
equipped with fingerprint sensor and runs on Android 4.0 OS (Ice Cream
Sandwich).

The company said the development of its soon to-be
launched smartphone is intended to address the increasingly heavy data loads
that mobile devices are required to handle. It developed a Tegra 3-based
smartphone to meet high speed demands of consumers along with a long battery
life.

Based on Fujitsu’s “Human-Centric Technology”
concept, the company aims to position smartphones as a close-at-hand tool that
supports people’s everyday activities.

As demonstrated by the Raku-Raku (easy-to-use) mobile
phone series, which recently broke past a milestone of 20 million units sold in
Japan, Fujitsu has
focused on developing a portfolio of unique universal design technologies.

The company has also brought to bear its industry-leading
water-resistant capabilities. The lateral application of these technologies has
served to greatly differentiate Fujitsu’s products from those of competitors,
and Fujitsu’s smartphones have been received with great acclaim.

Recently,
Fujitsu announced the development of BroadOne LTE femtocell, an indoor base
station for easy construction of high-bandwidth, high-quality indoor wireless
communications.
