Airtel 4G launched in Surat, after Vadodara and Anand

airtelBharti Airtel has expanded its 4G services to Surat, after recent launches at Vadodara and Anand.

Airtel now uses the spectrum band of 1800 MHz (FD LTE), providing spectrum efficiency and increased upload and download speeds, for the service.

Airtel, claiming to offer a high-speed 4G experience via the service, will offer access for the same across mobile phones, 4G MiFi and dongles with value-for-money prepaid and postpaid plans.

Airtel currently offers 4G services in 18 circles across India, since its launch in Kolkata in 2012.

Airtel also launched a new 4G offer for 10 GB 4G data charging Rs. 249 on prepaid and Rs. 250 on postpaid with any new 4G handset.

Under the offer, 1 GB data will be instantly credited to the customer account, while the additional 9 GB data can be claimed via My Airtel app. A maximum of 3 recharges of the same can be availed by the user within 90 days.

This followed after the recent launch of the updated MyAirtel App which packs many entertainment features together.

Also, the new Airtel Cloud app was launched with free 2 GB cloud backup, while the Airtel Dialer came with free calling.

In postpaid 4G offers, Airtel Infinity plans start from Rs. 1199 for unlimited voice calls for STD, local and roaming, while myPlan offers customers the convenience of designing their own plans.

At the same time, prepaid 4G offers vary from special 4G Prepaid pack for Rs. 1495 offering free 4G data for 90 days to 4G prepaid pack priced at Rs 1499 offering 15 GB 4G data upfront for which the customers can get 1 GB 4G at Rs. 51 for the next 12 months.

The 4G launch is a part of the Project Leap network transformation initiative begun by the company in 2015.
