China Unicom has added 20.34 million mobile subscribers, reaching 284 million in 2017. China Unicom added 70.33 million 4G subscribers, reaching 175 million.
China Unicom, as part of its regulatory filing, said it is expecting its service revenue to grow 4.6 percent to approximately RMB 249 billion. Profit before income tax of China Unicom is expected to be approximately RMB 2.59 billion (+231 percent) and profit of RMB 1.83 billion (+193 percent).
China Unicom said net loss on asset disposal of approximately RMB 2.9 billion related to optical fibre network upgrade projects has been charged in both the profit before income tax and profit in 2017.
