Reliance Communications fiscal 2014 revenue up 3%, profit surges 56%

Indian telecom carrier Reliance Communications today said its revenue for fiscal 2014 increased 3.29 percent to Rs 21,238 crore.

The billionaire Anil Ambani-promoted Reliance Communications said its net profit for fiscal 2014 rose 55.8 percent to Rs 1,047 crore.

Reliance Communications’s revenue for fourth quarter 2014 grew 4.8 percent to Rs 5,405 crore. Its Q4 FY 2014 net profit increased 44.44 percent to Rs 156 crore.

Idea Cellular said its FY 2014 revenue rose 17.3 percent to Rs 26,518.9 crore. Profit grew 94.6 percent to 1,967.8 crore from Rs 1,010.9 crore.

For comparison, Airtel said its India revenue in fiscal 2014 grew 9.8 percent to Rs 57,556 crore from Rs 52,386 crore. In Q4 FY 2014, Airtel revenue rose 11.8 percent to Rs 14,910 crore from Rs 13,357 crore.

Reliance Comm FY 2014 result

Reliance Communications said its India revenue in fiscal 2014 rose 4.4 percent to Rs 18,569 crore from Rs 17,784 crore. Its global revenue declined 6.22 percent to Rs 4,621 crore from Rs 4,928 crore during the period.

The India revenue of Reliance Communications rose 2.53 percent to Rs 4,649 crore from Rs 4,534 crore in fourth quarter. Global revenue in the fourth fiscal quarter dipped 3.81 percent to Rs 1,261 crore from Rs 1,311 crore.

The company said its minutes of usage were 102.3 billion.

Reliance Communications ARPU rose 2.4 percent to Rs 128.

Data subscribers were 37.4 million. Out of this, 3G data subscribers were 12.9 million.

The company said data traffic increased 20.5 percent to 50,251 million MB, while data usage per user increased quarter-on-quarter to 455 MB.
