T-Mobile US upgrades network for All-Star FanFest

American telecom carrier T-Mobile US today announced that it upgraded its network for All-Star FanFest – for offering its nationwide 4G LTE services.

T-Mobile US is the title sponsor of Major League Baseball’s T-Mobile All-Star FanFest.

John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile, said: “This is also a perfect chance for us to show off what the Un-carrier’s data-strong network is capable of—because nothing puts a network to the test like a crush of baseball fans Instagraming, Tweeting, Facebooking and Snapchatting every amazing All-Star moment.”

Besides rolling out T-Mobile Wideband LTE and Voice over LTE in Minneapolis, T-Mobile has enhanced the fan experience at the All-Star Game’s host stadium, Target Field, with an upgraded network on the ballpark’s Distributed Antenna System (DAS).

Last year, T-Mobile upgraded its network at a number of Major League Baseball ballparks, including those in Arlington, Texas, Miami, New York, Seattle and Washington D.C. as well as Minneapolis. The telecom carrier is planning more upgrades in the future.
