Revenue of the telecom services — mobile, fixed telephony and broadband — market in Colombia will grow 8.1 percent to $8.64 billion in 2018 from $7.99 billion in 2014, according to Dataxis.

The telecom analysis report called Telecom Series 2015: Colombia said that contribution of mobile to total telecom services revenue will grow to 78.4 percent in 2018 from 74 percent in 2014.

The number of SIM cards in Colombia will grow to 55.6 million in 2018 from 51.3 million SIM cards by Q4 2014. 4G will have 83 percent of the market in 2018.

The contribution of fixed broadband sector will grow to 13.7 percent from nearly 11 percent of the total revenues in 2014. The number of broadband accesses will increase 35.5 percent to 6.6 million accesses by 2018 from 4.9 million by Q4 2014.

Fixed telephony lines in Colombia will decrease 10.7 percent to 6.3 million lines in 2018 from 7.1 million in Q4 2014.
