Top 10 Indian telecom operators based on revenue in 2017

TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) has released a chart showing top 10 Indian telecom operators based on revenue in 2017.

Airtel, according to TRAI document, reported Rs 36,922 crore revenue in 2017, clocking 24.46 percent drop.

Airtel, Vodafone, Idea Cellular, BSNL and Reliance Jio are the top five telecom operators in India based on their annual revenues in 2017.

Vodafone India posted revenue of Rs 26,308 crore registering 24.14 percent drop in annual revenue.

Idea Cellular reported Rs 22,616 crore revenue in 2017, registering 23.17 percent dip in annual revenue.

BSNL, the fourth largest telecom operator, clocked Rs 10,564 crore revenue, posting 19.42 percent drop.

Reliance Jio has reported revenue of Rs 7,466 crore from its all-India 4G operations.

Tata Teleservices posted Rs 6,478 crore (–34.94 percent) revenue.

Aircel, which has filed for backrupcy, posted Rs 5,082 crore revenue, registering 54.48 percent drop.
