ZTE grew its EPON business mainly due to strong market expansion in Asia-Pacific, Latin America and Europe, said Ovum.

ZTE’s PON OLT (optical line terminal) shipments grew 35 percent to 15.26 million lines in Q2 2014.

China Telecom, CenturyLink, China Mobile, Google Fiber and AT&T’s new U.S. FTTH city / regional announcements were some of the growth drivers for the increase in OLT port shipments.
