Keysight Technologies Q3 revenue up 16% to $832 million

Keysight Technologies for telecom operatorsKeysight Technologies posted Q3 revenue of $832 million (+16 percent), operating margin of 0.4 percent, compared with 15 percent and net loss of $18 million against net income of $91 million.

“We are developing advanced technologies such as 5G, next-gen Wi-Fi, high-speed datacenters, and automotive and energy for new and existing customers,” said Ron Nersesian, Keysight president and CEO.

Keysight Technologies said revenue from Communications Solutions Group (CSG) fell to $418 million in the third fiscal quarter of 2017 ended July 31, 2017 from $424 million in the prior year third quarter. Growth in commercial communications and 5G was offset by a decline in aerospace, defense and government.

Electronic Industrial Solutions Group (EISG) revenue of Keysight Technologies was $218 million (+14 percent) — driven by strong demand for general electronics, semiconductor, and automotive and energy solutions.

Ixia Solutions Group (ISG) created Q3 revenue of $120 million — impacted by challenging market conditions with its network equipment manufacturers customers in the U.S., while demand for visibility and application and security solutions was strong among service provider customers.

Keysight Technologies said Services Solutions Group (SSG) revenue rose 4 percent to $107 million — driven by remarketed solution sales.

Keysight Technologies said its fourth quarter revenue will be in the range of $850 million to $880 million.
