Livingston brings JDSU RANAdvisor Handheld RAN analysis solution

Livingston recently said it offers JDSU RANAdvisor Handheld radio access network (RAN) analysis solution. It is to maximize the optimization and troubleshooting possibilities when deploying next generation wireless networks.

The new wireless test product keeps the engineering resource and hardware investment required for implementing mobile communication infrastructure to a minimum.

It has an intuitive graphic user interface (GUI) and a parallel sequencer, which makes it easy to carry out tests and capture data.

The key performance indictor (KPI) engine incorporated into the unit provides the operative with feedback regarding any problems as they occur.

The RANAdvisor Handheld can quickly and easily verify the voice, data, and web services are all working correctly when used with JDSU’s CellAdvisor base station analyser.

The RANAdvisor platform support receivers with up to 8 different frequency bands. Livingston also provides its customers with RANAdvisor TrueSite – an Android-based solution for testing within indoor environments.

The solution supports LTE, WCDMA, GSM, CDMA and EV-DO technologies. It can be used as a single device, or used in conjunction with a control tablet so that up to 6 devices can be utilized.

“Location data can be taken directly from the device’s built-in GPS. The solution can be activated / deactivated via SMS with the remote start/stop function,” said Reinier Treur, marketing director at Livingston.
