At the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2015), wireless test makers – Keysight, Anritsu, JDSU, Rohde & Schwarz, Spirent, Anite, etc. will demo their latest capabilities to show that they play a key role in ensuring quality of services to telecom customers.

Keysight Technologies
Keysight Technologies will be participating in a demo on 5G systems as part of the 5G collaboration project with China Mobile. The demonstration will focus on large-scale antenna systems based on CMCC Research Institute’s new SmarTile unit. The signal quality and multi-channel beam-forming capability of large-scale antenna systems will be measured with Keysight’s multi-channel analyzer and 89600 VSA software.
Keysight Technologies announced demo of mmWave channel-sounding measurement that enables 5G data rates, spectrum flexibility and ultra-broad bandwidth at MWC 2015.
Keysight Technologies also announced that its E6650A EXF wireless test set for femtocell supports high-volume manufacturing testing for Qualcomm Technologies’ FSM99xx-based multi-mode enterprise and metro small cells.
Keysight Technologies has unveiled the Infiniium V-Series oscilloscopes to ensure measurement accuracy, enhanced analysis tools and advanced probing systems. With models that range from 8 GHz to 33 GHz, the V-Series enables circuit designers and engineers to make rapid progress from first silicon to eventual product release.
Anritsu Company
Anritsu Company has developed a turnkey small cell manufacturing test solution with Cavium that also supports technologies such as cellular, WLAN 802.11ac, Bluetooth, ZigBee (802.15.4), and location-based services (LBS).
Leveraging the MT8870A Universal Test Set platform, Anritsu is addressing the need for small cell test solutions that can lower the cost of test and speed time to market of next-generation wireless chipsets and devices.
Anritsu said the MT8870A is a cost-efficient and comprehensive alternative to full-featured spectrum analyzers and signal generators traditionally used in small cell production applications. By combining four instruments into one mainframe, MT8870A occupies a footprint that is 50-75 percent smaller than test solutions with similar measurement capability.
Rohde & Schwarz
Rohde & Schwarz will unveil mobile network testing solutions at MWC 2015 to ensure better quality of services (QoS) to mobile users. Its solutions will be ensuring QoS for services and applications such as VoLTE, calls over Wi-Fi, eMBMS and streaming video.
Meanwhile, SGS, an verification, testing and certification company, selected Rohde & Schwarz to strengthen its conformance and carrier acceptance testing capabilities for key LTE/4G technologies.
Spirent Communications
Spirent Communications announced 8100 X series and 8100 Q series expanding its 8100 Carrier Acceptance and Conformance test portfolio.
The 8100 X series supports multiple cells, downlink and uplink carrier aggregation, both FD-LTE and TD-LTE for global coverage, MIMO up to 4×2 and integrated fading. The 8100 X series platform is currently undergoing validation by operators in North America and China.
The 8100 Q series provides support for IMS and location technologies, allowing test teams to focus on application-layer specific issues such as device-to-device interoperability for VoLTE, RCS and A-GNSS positioning.
Spirent Communications also announced the integration of Keysight Technologies’ UXM platform with the Spirent 8100 Carrier Acceptance and Conformance test solution to offer advanced solution for testing maximum data throughput performance for LTE-Advanced carrier aggregation.
