Spirent Elevate Test Framework launched for M2M market

Test and measurement (T&M) vendor Spirent Communications on Tuesday launched Spirent Elevate Test Framework.

Spirent Elevate Test Framework targets wireless and machine-to-machine (M2M) devices and services market, and enable faster time-to-market and improved user experience.

Besides M2M, some of the important use cases will be services such as VoLTE (Voice-over-LTE) and RCS (Rich Communication Services) which are exposing new interoperability issues with commercial devices on live networks.

“The ability to evaluate device, service and user experience performance earlier on in the lab and generate analytics that can be shared across development teams has become a necessity,” said Michael Thelander, president of Signals Research Group.

Spirent Elevate testing model separates hardware from software, making use of virtualization and organizing test elements and resources into an open architecture.

The framework encompasses instrumentation, emulated and live services, an open API, automated and interactive testing, analytics that cross all phases of wireless device development, and shareable test results for comprehensive collaboration, said Spirent in a statement.
