Tektronix, a provider of test and measurement solutions, announced the RSA7100A wideband signal analysis solution.

The starting price of RSA7100A from Tektronix is $135,000.

The RSA7100A wideband signal analysis solution from Tektronix combines 800 MHz of real-time bandwidth with up to 2 hours of streaming storage at full bandwidth in one solution. The new instrument has 16 kHz to 26.5 GHz frequency range.

The RSA7100A reduces the cost of wideband signal capture, record, and analysis while increasing capturing of wideband signal transients. The instrument can trigger on and measure signals of 700 ns duration in the frequency domain in real time while offering signal analysis with SignalVu-PC RF and vector analysis software.

The RSA7100A allows users to record up to 2 hours of streaming capture to internal RAID storage at the full 800 MHz bandwidth for such applications as environment recording and long event sequence analysis.

The DataVu-PC software application will assist engineers to find and mark events of interest hiding within terabytes of stored data. Up to 2,000,000 pulses can be characterized for power, pulse-width, repetition interval and start-stop frequencies.

Engineers can export measurements in Pulse Descriptor Word format for use with other tools. They can use DataVu-PC to save smaller IQ files from within the longer captured file based on search and mark or manual selection.

“There is a need to build and rigorously qualify critical wideband radar and EW systems that will be deployed in the field. At the same time, the demands in the field have gotten greater, from wider bandwidth signals to longer signal captures,” said Jim McGillivary, general manager of RF and Component Solutions at Tektronix.

T&M market

The global size of the test and measurement (T&M) equipment market is expected to reach $35.45 billion by 2022, at a CAGR of 6.8 percent between 2016 and 2022.

The growth drivers for the test and measurement equipment market are the demand for electronics products, investments in R&D, technological advancement in networking and communication sector, and increased manufacturing activity in developing countries.
