Tektronix prices 70 GHz real-time Oscilloscope at $315,000

Tektronix, which will be showcasing its latest products at OFC 2015, announced the DPO70000SX 70 GHz ATI Performance Oscilloscope.

Tektronix is selling the DPO70000SX oscilloscopes – the 70 GHz ATI units — at $315,000 with a two-unit system for $479,000. The 33 GHz non-ATI unit will be available at $285,000 with a two-unit system at $371,000.

DPO70000SX 70 GHz ATI Performance Oscilloscope features the lowest-noise and highest effective bits of any ultra-high bandwidth real-time oscilloscope.

DPO70000SX ATI Performance Oscilloscope enables users to more accurately capture and measure their signals at higher speeds than possible with any other oscilloscope available today.

It ensures 200 GS/s sample rate with 5 ps/sample resolution for improved resolution and timing.

Tektronix Announces 70 GHz Real-Time Oscilloscope

Tektronix said DPO70000SX ATI Performance Oscilloscope reduces the distance to the DUT enables shorter cable lengths which in turn help to preserve signal fidelity at high frequencies. DPO70000SX oscilloscope enables engineers to see more of their signal details with less noise and distortion so they can make better measurements and understand their system operation better.

The company said DPO70000SX also provides the flexibility to use one channel at 70 GHz, 200 GS/s or two channels at 33 GHz, 100 GS/s. Available dual unit systems synchronize two DPO70000SX units providing two channels at 70 GHz, 200 GS/s each, or four channels at 33 GHz, 100GS/s operating as a single, coordinated instrument.

Customers will have the ability to easily scale up to more performance across more channels. Four channels at 33 GHz with insight on two channels at 70 GHz may be sufficient for many of today’s applications. Customers can add two additional units to the configuration to provide four channels at 70 GHz, said Tektronix.
