Airtel 4G in Assam
Bharti Airtel today announced its investment in 4G network roll outs in Assam, one of the North East states in India.

Airtel’s 4G mobile broadband service is available in Dibrugarh and Tinsukia. Assam is the 22nd state where Airtel 4G is available.

Bharti Airtel will be using TD LTE technology in 2300 MHz spectrum band for the initial roll out of 4G services in Assam. The largest telecom operator will also launch 4G services using FD LTE technology in 1800 MHz spectrum band to ensure better mobile broadband experience to its 4G subscribers.

Airtel’s 4G subscribers will be getting 2GB of free 4G data by upgrading their existing SIMs to 4G SIMs and by dialing 52122.

“Our customers can upgrade to 4G, free of cost and enjoy high speed mobile broadband experience on the Airtel network. With the launch, customers can also look forward to exciting data offers, and choose from a host of affordable tariff plans that offer great value,” said Sameer Anjaria, CEO, Airtel North Eastern States and Assam.

Airtel’s prepaid customers can now enjoy 10 GB 4G data for Rs 249 with any new 4G handset. With Rs 249 recharge, users will get 1 GB data instantly, while additional 9 GB data can be claimed by the customer through My Airtel app. Users can avail a maximum of 3 recharges within 90 days, on the offer.
