announced that IPWireless has selected the solution, combining Lantiq’sXWAY
GRX168 network processor with Altair’s FourGee LTE chipset.

IPWireless, a developer and designer of 3G and 4G
wireless broadband and broadcast solutions, will integrate the Lantiq/Altair
solution to deliver broadband wireless LTE to home gateways, such as routers
and CPE designs.

“IPWireless is dedicated to helping government
agencies and mobile operators deploy end-to-end, next generation 4G mobile
broadband networks, including the most innovative end user devices. Lantiq’s
and Altair’s solutions enable us to more rapidly develop LTE devices that best
meet our customers’ unique requirements,” said Malcolm Gordon, COO at
IPWireless.

Both the companies said that they collaborated last
year and by using Lantiq’s XWAY GRX family of premier home network
processors with Altair Semiconductor’s commercial LTE chipset, customers
such as IPWireless can significantly speed time-to-market for LTE CPE
equipment.

“As the LTE CPE market gains momentum, we see more
and more CPE customers entering this growth segment. We are very pleased that
IPWireless and others have decided to use our LTE/Wi-Fi solution,”

Evolved Packet Core (EPC) solutions, the EPC200 and EPC3000, the next evolution
of its base station product, the V6 LTE eNodeB and end user devices for Band 14
and other global LTE spectrum bands.
