Indian 4G service provider Reliance Jio announced a new one-year recharge plan and cash-back offer for its phone users — with several conditions.
The new Reliance Jio recharge plan — priced at Rs 1,699 — has a validity of 365 days. 4G users can buy the latest plan till November 30. Jio is also offering 100 percent cash-back on recharges between Rs 149 and Rs 9,999.
The strategy of the Mukesh Ambani-promoted telecom operator is to enhance its monthly ARPU of Rs 137 or less than $2 and ensure that its customers are staying with the network for 12 months.
Reliance Jio is offering the Diwali plan through online platforms and at all Jio retailers. This offer is valid only for Jio’s Prime members. Jio’s 4G customers will get unlimited local and national calls, SMS and roaming.
There’s no FUP on voice calls on its network. Customers can send only 100 SMS per day. Customers can use 547 GB of 4G data per year as part of the latest offer. Reliance Jio has fixed a daily cap of 1.5 GB for its customers.
Reliance Jio, which has more than 250 million subscribers on its 4G network, is offering 100 percent cash-back on its Diwali plan along with other plans priced above Rs 149. Users can use this cash-back in the form of Reliance Digital coupons in the MyJio app. Every recharge will give users coupon amount of the same.
Customers, who make recharges from Rs 799, will get more than one coupon. Users who recharge for Rs 1,699 will get two 500 coupons and one 200 coupon, Reliance Jio said.
Jio Prime customers can use these coupons against a minimum purchase of Rs 5,000 at any Reliance Digital store. Users cannot redeem two coupons at the same time and the validity of the coupons is till December 31.
Customers cannot use these coupons for products like hard disks from brands like Seagate, Western Digital, Sony and Lenovo.
Customers cannot use these coupons for purchasing Samsung tablets and smartphones from Samsung and Xiaomi. Jio further limits the coupon usage against gift vouchers of Cleartrip, KFC, Book My Show, and Google Play.
