ONO, a cable operator in Spain and a provider of
broadband communication and entertainment services, and TiVo announced
deployment details of their highly anticipated next generation DVR offering,
giving ONO customers Spain’s most advanced television platform which seamlessly
blends Internet and traditional television content delivered through ONO’s modern
fibre optic network while interacting with TiVo’s award-winning user interface.
In addition to controlling live TV, with the TiVo DVR
from ONO customers will be able to set Season Pass Recordings to automatically
record the user’s favorite programs, schedule recordings when not at home, or
even record programs based upon a users’ interests through WishList searches.
In addition to searching and recording programs, the TiVo
DVR from ONO also offers a library of broadband-delivered on demand video and interactive
applications.

As previously announced, ONO is the exclusive distributor
of TiVo’s advanced television services in Spain and TiVo will become the
exclusive software provider for all next generation set-top boxes deployed by
ONO.
TiVo recently announced the launch
of its TiVo Premiere Elite set-top box, offering four digital tuners and
two-terabyte hard drive for unmatched recording capabilities, as well as THX
certification for optimal sound and video fidelity.
