Vidyo Platform features on MWC’s 4G LTE network using Alcatel-Lucent wireless technology

By
Telecomlead Team:
Vidyo announced that its video conferencing
solution featured and demoed on mobile devices running over an exclusive
4G LTE network designed for MWC 2012 by Alcatel-Lucent and Telefonica.

Vidyo is one of several selected applications that
provided users with a live experience of the Telefonica 4G LTE demo network
leveraging the 4G wireless network technology of Alcatel-Lucent.

Alcatel-Lucent selected the Vidyo Platform because of its unique ability to enable mobile devices to easily
and effectively participate in video conferences with room systems and desktop
users while being extremely resilient to packet loss.

Vidyo’s architecture enables personal telepresence over a
wide variety of networks – from standard Internet to 4G and LTE networks.

VidyoMobile delivers HD multipoint mobile video
conferencing to the enterprise, users and turning popular PCs, tablets and
smart phones into high performance video communication endpoints with quality
that up until now was available only in room systems.

The company said that anyone can participate in
a high quality video conference meeting from wherever they happen to be with
its personal telepresence platform.

Vidyo users can experience business quality, natural
communication on smart phones, tablets, laptops and high-end room systems – all
in the same multi-participant Vidyo conference over 4G, LTE or Internet
connections.

Vidyo’s personal Telepresence enables natural, HD
multi-point videoconferences on tablets and smart phones, PCs and Macs, room
systems, gateways that interoperate with H.323 and SIP endpoints, telepresence
solutions and affordable cloud-based broadcast solutions.

Recently, Vidyo
associated with REACH Health, a provider of interactive physician-to-patient
access to integrate Vidyo technology into its software platform.
