ACT Fibernet reveals revenue, ARPU, investment return

ACT Fibernet (Atria Convergence Technologies) recently revealed its revenue, investment returns and ARPU from its broadband business.

ACT Fibernet reported revenue of INR 1,217 crore and EBITDA of INR 211.67 crore in fiscal 2017.

ACT Fibernet posted revenue of INR 874 crore and EBITDA of INR 323 crore in fiscal 2016.

ACT Fibernet registered revenue of INR 618 crore and EBITDA of INR 468 crore in fiscal 2015.

INR 684 crore was the revenue and INR 286 crore was the EBITDA in the six months ended September 30, 2017.

Revenue from wired broadband internet service business accounted for 82.77 percent, 90.31 percent, 91.61 percent and 91.38 percent of total income for fiscals 2015, 2016 and 2017 and the six months ended September 30, 2017, respectively.

Revenue from cable TV service business accounted for 11.86 percent, 6.13 percent, 4.61 percent and 5.21 percent of our total income from operations for fiscals 2015, 2016 and 2017 and the six months ended September 30, 2017, respectively.

ACT Fibernet had approximately 1.28 million wired broadband internet customers and 0.71 million cable TV customers as at December 31, 2017.

ACT Fibernet reported monthly ARPU of INR 813 in fiscal 2017, INR 756 in fiscal 2016 and

INR 684 in fiscal 2015 from retail wired broadband internet business.

ACT Fibernet is the third largest wired broadband internet service provider in India with a market share of 6.9 percent as at September 30, 2017 according to MPA.

Its fiber broadband network is covering 5.4 million plus residential homes in the markets in which it operated as at September 30, 2017, according to MPA.

ACT Fibernet said it invested significantly to develop fiber broadband network. The majority of the fiber network utilizes an advanced Metro Ethernet Active FTTX technology. It also utilizes GPON technology in certain parts of the network.

The wired broadband internet market is expected to grow from 18.1 million subscribers as at December 31, 2016 to 24 million by December 31, 2021, according to a study by MPA.
