Tata Docomo prices Rs 1000 / month for 20GB broadband at 4Mbps speed in Bangalore

Tata Docomo, which offers FTTH broadband, announced 20 GB data at 4 Mbps speed for Rs 1000 per month in Bangalore.

There are other broadband tariffs as well from Tata Docomo, the unified brand of Tata Teleservices.

For instance, 80 GB of data usage at 4Mbps and 8 Mbps with fair usage policy have been priced at Rs 1400 and Rs 1500 respectively.

50GB at 8 Mbps and 80GB at 16Mbps with fair data usage policy is available for Rs 1200 and Rs 1700 respectively.

Tata Docomo’s strategy is to win high end home users in the Bangalore city.

The company is also expanding its FTTH network across the state. Tata Docomo does not share its target cities in Karnataka.

At present, Tata Docomo’s FTTH service covers 50,000 residential units in Bangalore including premium apartments and complexes such as Prestige Santhiniketan, Brigade Metropolis and Divyashree Elan.

Telecom industry analysts say the revised tariff will prompt competition — MTS India, Reliance Communications, Bharti Airtel — to revise their wireless broadband tariffs as well.

Recently, Airtel started offering 4G services on TD-LTE network in Bangalore.

The new tariff enables Tata Docomo customers to increase their high-speed broadband (upto 100mbps) usage for services such as IPTV, HDTV, 3D TV, video-on-demand, bandwidth on demand, video conferencing, interactive gaming, etc. using multi-devices like tablets, laptops and connected TVs.
