Comcast Cable today announced its investment plans for a new data center in Hillsboro, Oregon.
The new data center facility will provide support for Comcast’s video, Internet and phone services for Oregon and SW Washington customers.
The company has already started construction on the Hillsboro data center.
Comcast Cable has nearly 2,000 employees throughout Oregon and SW Washington — including nearly 650 local customer service representatives based in our Beaverton, OR Sales Center of Excellence, and 600 technicians who install and repair XFINITY video, Internet, voice and home services and Comcast Business services.

Meanwhile, Comcast will open its new XFINITY store in Hillsboro on Saturday, November 15. The new The new 4,200 square foot store is in addition to the four existing XFINITY customer experience stores in the Oregon/SW Washington area.
With this, Comcast will be adding twelve jobs to Hillsboro. The new site brings the total customer service store locations to 13. Combined, these stores employ more than 100 Comcast employees.
“This experience center provides a place where customers can get their hands on all of our products, as well as get answers to their questions,” said Rodrigo Lopez, regional vice president, Oregon and SW Washington Region.
