McAfee improves security management solution for enterprises

McAfee announced enhancements to the industry’s most
comprehensive security management solution, providing automated and real-time
security and risk analytics to proactively identify, assess, manage and report
on enterprise security.

The McAfee Security Management solution delivers complete
integration between the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (McAfee ePO) platform,
McAfee Risk Advisor, and McAfee endpoint products to enable organizations to
gain complete visibility of security and risk events across any on-premise or
hosted desktop, network, or server.

Today’s organizations are challenged with effectively
managing security and risk programs, as these programs are often comprised of
individual point solutions that provide limited functionality and automation,
and lack integration to key business assets.

As a result, many security management programs are
inefficient, costly, and fail to provide effective security, which can increase
risk exposure and limit an organization’s ability to perform.
Organizations must be able to proactively identify, assess and mitigate
security threats and risk events across any technology device on the
enterprise.

The McAfee Security Management solution has enabled Con
J. Franke Electric to remotely identify, assess, and remediate potential issues
across all of our enterprise systems,” said Scott Frazier, information systems
manager at Con J. Franke Electric, Inc. This has greatly reduced our
overall management time, and delivered phenomenal productivity improvements,
reducing our overall cost.”

Security and risk management now has C-level visibility
within the business, and internal and external stakeholders are holding IT
departments accountable for managing risk,” said Stuart McClure, general
manager of Risk and Compliance at McAfee.

An effective security management program isn’t possible
with manual or reactive methods.  McAfee Security Management allows users
to proactively identify, manage, and automatically report on their security and
risk profile in order to stay ahead of security threats,” McClure added.
