The new cloud offering enables CSPs to manage complex wholesale partner relationships and revenue streams across national, international, roaming and content partnerships at a significantly reduced operating cost.

Clients can speed time to market for new services as CSG can quickly deliver new configurations to support new offerings, as well as keep hardware and software updated to keep pace with changing market conditions.

Alam Gill, senior vice president of Managed Services, CSG, said: “The fast-growing dominance of IP-based content and services creates opportunities for new revenue streams through extended relationships to other operators and content partners.”

CSG also said it would expand its managed services program to address the need for CSPs to lower costs, transform their operations and create agile ways to support their customers.

CSG has set up managed services Centers of Excellence in Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, and Africa as well as Central and Latin America regions and has deployed in-region expertise to support the unique needs of its global clients.

According to Informa Telecoms & Media, 87 percent of CSPs indicated that they already work with, or intend to work with, a BSS managed services provider in the next three years. In addition, a key theme emerged from their research that CSPs’ expectations for the value that managed services will provide has increased over previous years.

Meanwhile, CSG said its Content Direct — a cloud-based digital content monetization platform — added new clients.

CSG’s Content Direct — that powers direct-to-consumer digital content and commerce experiences across any connected device for content producers, retailers and Communications Service Providers (CSPs) — has been selected by over 25 CSPs and Hollywood studios.

Kent Steffen, president of CSG’s Content Direct group, said: “Our strategic focus is on driving innovative content monetization strategies for market-leading companies, and to support the use of industry-wide initiatives such as Ultraviolet.”
