ITU chief Hamadoun Toure to present at National Telecom Awards on May 8

Telecom Lead India: Hamadoun Toure, secretary general,
ITU International, will attend the 6th National Telecom Awards in New Delhi on
May 8, 2011. The award function is organized by CMAI Association of India.


According to N K Goyal,
president CMAI Association of India, this is the first visit of ITU
Secretary General to India after assuming charge in January,
2007. This event is expected to be attended by over 2,500 delegates.


The National Telecom Awards 2012 will be presented
by a galaxy of VIPs including Vir Bhadra Singh, union minister for MSME, Farooq
Abdullah, union minister for New & Renewable Energy, Jyotiraditya Scindia,
minister of State for Commerce & Industries, Sachin Pilot, minister of
State for Communications and IT, Millind Deora, minister of State for
Communications and IT, TKA Nair, advisor to Prime Minister of
India,   JS Sarma, chairman, TRAI,  R Chandrashekhar,
secretary DoT, Akhil Gupta, deputy group CEO and managing director, Bharti
Enterprises, among others.


  
National Telecom Awards are endorsed by Government of India, Department of
Telecom; Department of Electronics & IT. The event has support of Apex
Telecom, IT Hardware, Internet and Operators Association in India and
international associations.


The National Telecom Awards 2012 will attract
all the senior decision makers in the industry. Industry would be represented
by telecom operators, enterprise solution providers, equipment manufacturers,
exporters, technology providers, and systems integrators from the ICT arena.


The 5th National Telecom  Awards 2011 were
presented in Delhi by Jyotiraditya Scindia, minister of State for Commerce and
Industries, Sachin Pilot, minister of State for Communications and IT with JS
Sarma, chairman TRAI.
