WIND Mobile adopts Acision Advanced Messaging Solutions

Acision announced that Canadian carrier WIND Mobile is
deploying Acision’s advanced messaging and reporting solutions. This is to
enable WIND to have a deeper understanding of subscriber preferences and
provides a platform for the delivery of high value mobile messaging and data
services to its customers.

Launched in December 2009, WIND Mobile is already one of
Canada’s leading wireless carriers and is recognized as a driver of innovation
across the market. The Acision solutions
being deployed by WIND are designed to enable the mobile data services that are
redefining today’s mobile experience.

WIND Mobile  has deployed the Acision short
message service center, Acision multimedia message service Center, Acision high
speed proxy and Acision flexible gateway — robust, scalable, carrier-grade
solutions that enable carriers like WIND to deliver the new generation of text
and multimedia services demanded by Smartphone users and today’s more
sophisticated mobile consumers. WIND will also deploy Acision Business Tools,
the industry leading solution which enables service performance, service usage
reporting and web-based customer care capabilities.

“Acision is a leader in helping operators like us at
WIND seize the emerging opportunities in today’s mobile marketplace by more
effectively delivering new services that meet the needs of their subscribers.
With Acision’s support, WIND Mobile offers mobile users in Canada
best-in-breed data services that not only address this demand, but also help to
lower the price of wireless via a more efficient hardware footprint,” said Marius
Armeanca, chief technology officer at WIND Mobile.

WIND Mobile selected Acision because of our expertise in
deploying innovative new mobile data services that can enable operators to
provide the most unforgettably positive wireless customer experience in Canada.

North America is one of the most dynamic regions for
picture messaging usage, accounting for 20 percent of worldwide multimedia
traffic according to Informa Telecoms & Media. The analyst house also
forecast that MMS traffic in North America will increase over 300 percent
between 2010 and 2015, second only to Asia in terms of market growth.

The deployment with WIND Mobile is further evidence of
Acision’s commitment to serve the Canadian market and deliver mobile data
solutions tuned to the evolving needs of today’s multimedia savvy mobile
subscribers,” said Claudia Grandjean, SVP and GM, North America.
