Aircel offers mobile backup service with free storage space on Cloud

Indian telecom operator Aircel has launched a mobile backup service enabling its mobile customers to take their backup on cloud storage and use it on multiple devices.

There will be data charges for accessing the application and taking back up as per mobile customer’s existing data pack. This means, Aircel is offering free storage space on Cloud for its wireless users in India.

Aircel is offering the service for Android users presently and will launch for iOS and Windows OS customers later. Aircel, a region operator in India, has developed the backup service on Aircel mobile app platform.

Aircel said it wireless subscribers will get up to 2GB storage space on Cloud to back up their contacts, messages, images, videos, audios and other files.

Aircel said it is offering advanced security features for its customer’s data because the free backup service is integrated with Mobile Connect PIN based Authentication providing multi-factor authentication.

Aircel’s network infrastructure authenticates the user rather than any user name and password or social media logins.

Aircel CMO Anupam Vasudev said the Aircel Backup app offers Cloud storage space for storing important information with the luxury of accessing that information across multiple devices. This takes care of the customer concern of freeing up memory space on their phones besides keeping their data safe.
