Al-Futtaim deploys Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch LAN switches to improve communications

Telecom Lead Middle East: Al-Futtaim Group, a business
house in Dubai, has implemented Alcatel-Lucent’s OmniSwitch 6900 (OS6900)
Stackable LAN Switches in the group headquarters in Festival City.

 

The switch is part of Al Futtaim’s focus on maintaining
communications with its customers and encouraging entrepreneurship within its
various companies.

The application fluent network from Alcatel-Lucent enables Al-Futtaim Group to
address demand for performance-optimized bandwidth with reduced complexity.

 

Moreover, the Group uses multiple real-time applications
on its network to support different businesses and Alcatel-Lucent’s solution
based on OmniSwitch 6900 and 6400 allows Al-Futtaim to optimize real time
application delivery.

Alcatel-Lucent’s OmniSwitch 6900 Stackable LAN Switches are compact,
high-density 10GbE and 40GbE platforms that can accommodate the exact rack
configuration and the exact oversubscription ratio required by the application
flows demanded by a large enterprise like Al-Futtaim.

 

North White School selects Morse Communications and
Alcatel-Lucent

 

Morse Communications, a provider of IP Telephony,
networking and infrastructure, has replaced the IP switching network of
North White School with the Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch 6850 10 GigE fiber
concentrator and the OmniSwitch 6400 delivering 1GigE with Power over Ethernet
to the desktop.

 

The company helped design and deploy NWSC’s technology
overhaul with fiber optic and copper wiring cabling infrastructure, VOIP
telephony system, data network switch environment and wireless technology
throughout the school campus.
