The market for professional cordless phones is dominated by the DECT and VoWiFi, Voice over WiFi, technologies. Ascom Wireless Solutions can look back on a period of great success with increasing sales in both these technologies, particularly on the North American market.
In the DECT handset market, Ascom held 21 percent of the global market in the first six months of 2012.
In the VoWiFi market, Ascom Wireless Solutions market share rose to 17 percent, compared to 14 percent in the same period in 2011.
Ascom Wireless also completed on-site inspection by the Swedish Medical Products Agency, concluding that the company complies with the EU Medical Device Directive.
The Swedish Medical Products Agency has conducted a thorough on-site inspection at the company facilities in Gothenburg, Sweden. The inspection was closed with no further action from the agency, concluding that Ascom Wireless has all the right measures in place to comply with the EU Medical Device Directive and the CE-mark.
The inspection results confirm that Ascom Wireless is a pioneer in the integration of medical devices and distributed alarm systems.
”Both these achievements prove that we are well under way to extend and solidify our number one position in global healthcare communication,” said Claes Odman, general manager of Ascom Wireless Solutions.
Ascom Wireless Solutions claims that more than 75,000 systems are installed at major companies all over the world. The company offers a range of voice and professional messaging solutions, creating value for customers by supporting and optimizing their Mission-Critical processes.
