Beacon enterprise solutions signs fiber-optic project pharmaceutical client

Beacon Enterprise Solutions Group announced the execution
of a new contract to provide fiber-optic cabling to an existing Fortune 50
pharmaceutical client.

The project has an expected value of approximately
$500,000, with work beginning towards month-end and completion expected before
the end of the calendar year.  As per terms of the agreement, Beacon will
connect seven buildings together utilizing single mode fiber optic cable to
interconnect the telecommunications rooms between locations for more efficient
data transfer.

This project, which is for a U.S. location, will also
involve aspects of building security, in addition to traditional local area
network requirements, to upgrade the client’s ITS infrastructure within their
campus environment.

“This project is important as it is among the first
of the delayed projects, sometimes from as far back as a year or two – that are
beginning to move forward.  This is the second new contract we have
announced since July in our Pharma Division and is exemplary of projects moving
forward that have been on the shelf,” said Jerry Bowman, president and COO
of Beacon.
“Client approval and purchase order activity within our existing clients
is an important barometer for us of trending within our clients, especially as
we begin to close out FY2011 and finalize plans for 2012.”

“I am encouraged by the growth in our core business.
We are starting to turn the corner on projects that in some cases have
been a year or more in process. Our existing clients continue to turn to
Beacon to implement needed ITS solutions in order to remain competitive in
today’s global economy.  I expect to continue to see more organic growth
from our Fortune 1000 clients,” said Bruce Widener, chairman and CEO of Beacon.
