Accenture will provide Oi services through a flexible model designed for handing business challenges.

The tie-up with Accenture will enable the Brazilian telecom major to improve efficiency, quality and cost-effectiveness.

Accenture will focus on improvements designed to help transform Oi’s operations and support future growth.

“We are committed to Oi’s success as they execute their strategic business plans and undergo this transformation,” said Robert Sell, group chief executive of Accenture’s Communications, Media & Technology operating group.

“By leveraging Accenture’s industry and functional expertise combined with analytical tools and technologies, we’ve moved beyond operational cost reduction to drive more meaningful business outcomes for Oi. This agreement expands our longstanding relationship, and the work we perform will help make Oi an even stronger market competitor,” Sell added.

Recently, Accenture deployed the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) for the U.S. Army. Accenture claims that the U.S. Army can achieve auditability while streamlining business processes at 227 Army bases and offices in 71 countries, including the United States, Kuwait, Germany and South Korea. The Accenture solution will enable the Army to have a single source for financial, real property, cost management and performance data, as well as a core system of record for the Army General Fund.
