Cable&Wireless Worldwide appoints Darren Webb to head Asia Pacific telecom business

By Telecom Lead Team: Cable&Wireless Worldwide has
appointed Darren Webb as its managing director for Asia Pacific to look after
business expansion in the region.

 

Darren will have responsibility for enterprise and
carrier sales, service delivery, marketing, finance and people functions. He
was been with the company for more than a decade.

 

Darren has relocated from the U.K. to C&W Worldwide’s
Singapore office. He and will retain his current responsibilities as the director
of Global Enterprise Sales. He will report to Nick Lambert, managing director –
Wholesale, Mid-market and Global Markets.

 

According to a press release, Darren has demonstrated his
ability to drive growth for the business in each of his previous assignments at
C&W Worldwide. He joined the company in 1996 and has held various sales and
management positions, such as managing the International Voice business and
leading the EMEA enterprise sales function. Between 2008 and 2009, Darren
worked with the team that managed the successful integration of the Thus
business into C&W Worldwide.

 

Darren’s promotion to this strategic management role is
richly deserved. In his 15 years at the company, he has excelled in every role
he has undertaken and has consistently delivered results for our customers and
the business. The company’s business prospects in Asia Pacific are growing
