CSG signs billing deal with Comcast Cable, lowers revenue guidance for 2013

Telecom Lead America: Comcast Cable has signed a customer care and billing contract with BSS provider CSG Systems International.

After signing the new multi-year customer care and billing agreement deal, CSG Systems International said it would lower its revenue and adjusted EBITDA guidance for 2013 to reflect the new deal with Comcast Cable.

As per the revised guidance, CSG Systems’ revenue in 2013 will be around $740 – $760 million against the earlier guidance of $755 – $775 million.

The company has also lowered its adjusted EBITDA to $153 – $158 million from the earlier guidance of $162 – $167 million.

Peter Kalan, president and chief executive officer of CSG International, said: “As Comcast Cable continues to innovate the customer experience by giving more choice and control to their customers, CSG will continue to provide our highly dependable, scalable and reliable products and services to help them succeed.”

Scott Alcott, chief information officer for Comcast Cable, said: “We look for innovative technologies and cost-effective solutions that empower our customers. We’re pleased to extend our relationship with a company like CSG International that is well-suited to help us execute on our vision.”

In February 2013, CSG International announced the availability of its Wholesale Billing Management Solution (WBMS) as a cloud-based offering.

WBMS is a pivotal component of CSG’s BSS suite, supporting wholesale partner trading, routing, billing, settlement, roaming, and other contract and quality management capabilities. CSG’s wholesale solutions are used by over 300 Communications Service Providers (CSPs) across the globe, making it the most widely deployed wholesale billing suite.
