Dimension Data deploys IP-telephony for Kohn Pedersen Fox Architects


Dimension Data, a $4.7 billion dollar global IT services
and solutions provider, announced that it deployed a new IP-Telephony system
for Kohn Pedersen Fox Architects (KPF).


Dimension Data
upgraded KPF’s large area network (LAN), as well as installed and managed
Uptime powered by Cisco Services to ensure ongoing support.


Kohn Pedersen Fox Architects is an international firm of
architects who undertake work in 40 countries around the world. It is a global
company with offices in New York, London, Hong Kong and Shanghai.


KPF specializes in architectural building, high-grade
office designs and large scale developments. As the business grew, KPF needed
the infrastructure to back up their growth and expansion.


To keep pace with the progression of their business, KPF
partnered with Dimension Data to move to a new Cisco IP-Telephony system. With
this new technology in place, KPF now has the ability to expand their
communications capabilities as their business grows. The new solution also
includes ongoing support through Uptime powered by Cisco Services.


Uptime powered by Cisco Services is a
comprehensive support solution that includes defined service level agreements
to maximize uptime to ensure rapid restoration from any outage, access to a
US-based Global Service Center for level 1 and 2 support, and access to Cisco’s
Technical Assistance Center for serious network problems. Perhaps most
importantly, the solution includes a dedicated service delivery manager who
serves as a single point of contact responsible for addressing any issues and
ensuring timely problem resolution.
