Freescale Semiconductor kicks off FTF India in Bengaluru

Telecom Lead India: Freescale Semiconductor, a
provider of embedded processing solutions, has kicked off the eighth edition of
the company’s annual Freescale Technology Forum (FTF) India.

The event provides a platform for Freescale’s customers,
partners and employees to meet and explore the latest innovations in embedded
design from around the world.

 

Henri Richard, Freescale’s senior VP and chief sales and
marketing officer, said that the company’s product portfolio and expansive
partner ecosystem enables customers to architect, build and go to market with
solutions providing machine-to-machine connectivity creating a world of
Connected Intelligence.

 

He added that India is an important market for Freescale
and it is experiencing dynamic growth with very diverse yet distinct technology
needs offering tremendous opportunity for the company and its industry
partners.

 

The theme of the forum for this year is Powering
Innovation.”

 

The company is showcasing its technologies and products
that help embedded developers differentiate their design.

 

At the forum, approximately 1,000 designers, applications
engineers, industry experts, executives and hardware, software and tools
partners from around the world are attending the two days forum.

 

The company said that FTF India 2012 features more than
70 hours of technical training sessions, tools and more than 60 interactive
Technology Lab demonstrations in the fields of Automotive, Consumer,
Industrial, Networking and Enabling Technologies from Freescale and partners.

 

Huawei deploys Freescale MSC8156 DSP in TD-SCDMA Base Stations

 

Recently, Chinese telecom equipment maker Huawei deployed
Freescale Semiconductor’s MSC8156 digital signal processor (DSP) in its
TD-SCDMA Base Stations throughout China.
