Geodesic Q4 Results Show Net Profit of 33 Percent

Geodesic has reported its fiscal 2011 fourth quarter results ended March 31, 2011.  Total income for the quarter ended March 31, 2011 was Rs 237 crore, an increase of 36 percent, as compared to Rs 174 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

 

Net Profit for the fourth quarter is Rs 92 crore, an increase of 33 percent, as compared to Rs 69 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

 

EPS for the fourth quarter is Rs 10.16 as compared to Rs 7.53 for the corresponding quarter last year.

 

Geodesic also reported revenues of Rs 874 crore for the total twelve months ended March 31, 2011, an increase of 37 percent, as compared to Rs 637 crore the last year. Net profit for the period of twelve months ended March 31, 2011 stands at Rs 344 crore, an increase of 54 percent as compared to Rs 223 crore the last year. EPS is Rs 37.83 as compared to Rs 24.25 the last year.

 

Some of the operational highlights of the year include Geodesic’s signing an agreement with Airtel to launch Spokn VMS – a tool that allows Airtel subscribers to post voice messages to their Facebook profile as well as their friends’  profiles using their mobile phones without data plans. Geodesic also signed an agreement with Airtel for yet another Mundu product.

Geodesic also signed an agreement with Qualcomm, a telecommunications company to provide Mundu IM for the Brew MP platform.
