GETIT taps BlackBerry to roll out SMB solutions

Telecom Lead India: GETIT Infoservices, an Indian digital marketing company, has joined hands with Research In Motion (RIM) to tap the SME sector to market BlackBerry enterprise solutions.

GETIT will market RIM’s Enterprise Mobility Solutions including Blackberry Enterprise Server Express (BES). The BES will be a one-time investment for SMEs and the software licensing or additional per user license fees are not chargeable. This server can support upto 75 users.

From an Enterprise perspective the most significant feature of BES is Blackberry balancing, which lets corporates to create two separate on-device identities, one corporate data and the other is personal information.

The Blackberry Balance has the ability to wipe out all the corporate data without affecting the personal data. It saves both corporate and personal data.

This, on the other hand, will attract BYOD users.

The association with GETIT will help RIM tap large number of SMEs, and initially the target will be Delhi and Bangalore.

Verticals like Manufacturing, Food Processing, Pharmacy, Textile and Garments Agro and Service Sectors would be the target of this alliance.

RIM is looking for a market share of 20 percent in SME sector.

“Joining hands with GETIT is a great opportunity to expand our presence in the SME market, offering companies enterprise-grade and cost-effective mobile solutions. BlackBerry gives customers the best in mobility solutions without compromising on security or manageability,” said Sunil Lalvani, director, Enterprise Sales, RIM India.
