Glowpoint launches OpenVideo mobile

Glowpoint, a global provider of cloud managed video
services, announced the launch of OpenVideo Mobile, an app that allows end
users to manage and schedule video conferencing and telepresence meetings from
anywhere.

With the OpenVideo Mobile app, millions of employees that
are part of the growing list of enterprise customers using Glowpoint’s cloud
managed video service can use their mobile devices to schedule immersive
telepresence and video conferencing rooms and add meeting participants to
scheduled video meetings on an ad-hoc basis, while also locating available
telepresence and video conferencing rooms in cities via a unique ‘map view’
feature that utilizes Google Maps.

“The launch of the OpenVideo Mobile app extends
unique user tools to our global customers’ mobile workforce,” said Anil
Balani, SVP of Technology for Glowpoint.

“We will continue to add customer-valued
capabilities and features to our OpenVideo service platform that will give
users complete access to our full portfolio of managed services for enterprise
quality video,” Balani added.

OpenVideo is Glowpoint’s cloud architecture that provides
customers seamless and secure visual communication across disparate types of
video endpoints, signaling protocols and networks.

Glowpoint recently announced
three new enhancements to its cloud managed video services portfolio for Cisco
telepresence customers. All of the new enhancements are available as a fully
hosted cloud service from Glowpoint.
