HCL Infosystems in Pact with Sadbhav Infrastructure to deploy ICT Solution for Integrated Border Check Posts in Maharashtra

HCL Infosystems, an ICT System
Integration, Services, Hardware and Distribution company in India,
announced that it has signed an agreement with Sadbhav Infrastructure to
implement the Automation, Computerization and Integration of 22 Border Check
Posts (BCPs) in the State of Maharashtra.

Under this agreement, HCL Infosystems will design,
supply, install, commission and subsequently maintain the system for the next
10 years.

It has always been HCL Infosystems’ endeavor to bring
value to customers by understanding their core business and accordingly
addressing their requirements. This project is a testimony to our value based
solutions, wherein our teams have quickly understood the business need and
conceptualized the ICT solution for the Border check posts. We are sure that
together we will create a world class integrated system,” said Rajeev
Asija, chief operating officer, Enterprise Business Unit,
HCL Infosystems

This project brings together three Maharashtra State
Government bodies – the Department of Transport, Department of Sales Tax and
the Department of Excise in this project to share and use the common ICT
solution simultaneously for their respective functional benefits.

With this deployment BCPs have the combined facilities
for clearance and checking of commercial traffic for all the three departments.
The proposed modernization with computerized BCPs will facilitate road users
and reduce clearance time thereby increasing efficiency of the departments. The
deployment will also improve asset life, seize revenue loss and monitor
movement of restricted goods

The project implies Lane Automation like Automatic
Vehicle Identification (RFID), Automatic Vehicle Classification, License plate
recognition, Violation and Incident Capturing. There will also be
computerization and installation of electronic payment and accounting
facilities, Data Consolidation, MIS and Report generation. Information
will be sorted out electronically and transmitted to relevant departments of
the state.

Earlier this year HCL Infosystems announced it
bagged
a

Infosystems will provide end to end ADSL 2+ Broadband Network on Indian
Railways enterprise Wide Area Network through RailTel Corporation of India, a
